What is tree care at Arbor Tech Tree Care?
For us, tree care is a tree preservation-based philosophy that is the foundation from which our company has been built. It is in our name and our thoughts every working day. We consider your trees to be an important part of a larger system that keeps our planet from failing. We envision your trees as part of a larger urban forest; every tree on every property, an important member of a community which provides us with the air we breathe.
When you contact Arbor Tech Tree Care, you can be certain that the health, safety and preservation of your trees are our priority.
Here are some examples of our fundamental tree care services that promote the health and longevity of your trees.
MULCHING
This is the replacement of undesirable material or competing vegetation around the root zone of your tree with organic matter to improve the soil. We believe this is the single most beneficial service we can provide for your tree.
AERATION
In urban environments, trees are frequently planted or subjected to activities that cause soil compaction.Tree roots need oxygen, so if the soil surrounding your tree is compacted, its roots cannot get oxygen from the small air spaces in the soil. Without oxygen, the cells in the roots die. Without root cells, the tree declines and dies. We employ various technologies to aerate soil and promote healthy trees.
STRUCTURAL PRUNING
Longevity in trees can be achieved through careful analysis of branching structure/architecture. Premature tree failure can be avoided with structural pruning on trees young and old. The “Tree Care Focus” on pruning will create stronger, more wind-resistant trees. Tree removal from large limb failure or uprooting can be mitigated through educated and precise pruning.
BOLT AND CABLE INSTALLATION
Trees with structural defects can be supported with steel rods and cables. These are referred to as supplemental support systems.Trees that would otherwise prematurely fail can be secured and retained under appropriate circumstances. There are many pertinent variables pertaining to the selection of which system will work best for your particular situation. Once installed, these systems should be periodically inspected by one of our qualified arborists.
